7th July 2009: My long-awaited blue reverse siamese litter is finally here! Hanako gave birth yesterday to a pile of pinkies. Not sure how many there are yet, but looked to be about half a dozen. She is currently living with Monkey, who is due to give birth over the next few days (hopefully!). When I spotted them, Monkey was sitting on them and Hanako was running around being her normal nutty self. I'm sure Monkey will start to lactate a little early to help with the feeding.

I'll do a proper headcount and take some pictures tomorrow as I have the day off work :)

8th July 2009: I did a preliminary headcount tonight, looks like we have 7 black-eyed babies! I'll take them out of the nest tomorrow and have a go at sexing them. Both girls are looking pretty slender tonight, but I'm not convinced that monkey gave birth to anything. I'm not even convinced she was pregnant yet. I swore she had a belly a few nights ago, but might have been imagining things. I guess we'll know for sure if more bubs turn up, or if any of them turn out standard!

11th July 2009: First pics! I think there are 4 boys and 3 girls, the pale one (probably reverse) is a boy, annoyingly.

13th July 2009: I forgot to take pics tonight, but can confirm that we have at least one mock blue :D She's beauuutiful and she's definitely staying. Hanako's nest is pretty extensive, and with all my digging around, I could only find 5 babies - the reverse boy, a mock choc boy, 2 mock choc girls and the mock blue girl. Hopefully the others are in there somewhere and haven't been culled :/

18th July 2009: As their colours are coming in more, I noticed the 2 "mock choc" girls were quite dark for mock choc. So I thought about the genetics again, and realised I could also get burmese from this pairing. I'm now pretty sure that at least 1 of them is burmese - I think the male is mock choc, and the other girl is sort of inbetween as of yet. Yay, burmese! The really dark girl is also the biggest in the litter, which I'm always partial to, so I'm considering keeping both her and the blue girl (who could be either blue burmese or mock blue - not sure how to tell the difference for sure).

1 x blue mock-chocolate fox girl - STAYING (Coraline)
2 x mock-chocolate fox girls - 1 APRIL (Drusilla), 1 FAIJAI
1 x mock-chocolate fox boy - SHARON (Turk)
1 x reverse siamese fox boy - SHARON (JD)
