16th September 2009: Savannah was absolutely enormous for so long, I thought she was going to explode! The night before last, she gave birth to 7 beautiful babies - all pink eyed, of course. I'm pretty confident I will get some argentes, and possibly doves, and we might (depending on what she carries) also get argente creams and pink-eyed havanas/mock-chocs. I'd be happy with a whole litter of argentes, though, as I just love the colour, and have never had one!

19th September 2009: The litter is lovely. All the babies are healthy and well-fed, Savannah's being very good. My initial count the day after they were born had mostly males, but last night when Faijai were over stealing one of my boys, it looked like there were more girls. I will be keeping at least 1 girl, and all the unhomed boys.

22nd September 2009: Nipples have come through - all the argentes, including the marked, are girls. The dove is a boy. Pretty good odds!

So, it goes like this:

1x dove boy - STAYING
3x argente girls - 1 STAYING (Aurora), 1 SUE, 1 FAIJAI
2x marked argente girls - 1 MISSY, 1 COASTAL

23rd September 2009: As their colours are coming through, I've noticed that one of the "self" argentes is actually marked. She has half a band - the belly half. It's a cute marking, actually!

25th September 2009: Look at this beautiful baby :)

1st October 2009: This is the baby I am keeping. I chose her because she has the best face, but I love her because she is completely insane! She's always the last one I can catch, and she's sooo bouncy. So, I've been holding her a bit more, just leaving her in my hand while I'm at the computer. She's started falling asleep and bruxing :D

10th October 2009: My beautiful dove boy, who I had called Harley, has disappeared. I don't know whether I somehow managed to not put him back after playtime, or if he died and the others ate him, or if he escaped... I just don't know. I've set a humane trap around where I played with them last, but... I don't hold out much hope :(

24th October 2009: All bubs have gone to their new homes!
